Time for a Little Displaced Anger

At the airport I go to Green Leaf’s Beyond Great Salads. They are so far beyond they have come full circle to wretched. I am getting ready to order and I hear that familiar sweet soft Indian voice. Fiona? My abuser? “Yes, what is it that you would like?” This woman is much pudgier than the slim, prim Fiona, but they do have a resemblance. It’s their air of arrogance. I take everything from the previous day with Fiona out on this fat fuck. I am going to destroy this anonymous Indian pudgy lady. “I asked you for more broccoli and you give me one piece. Why are you so stingy?” She looks up. I resume, “I don’t care how much it costs. Give me more!” She keeps her cool. “I asked for a little shrimp and you give me two scoops. Take some off.” She remains friendly. I roll my eyes. I sigh. I gasp. She’s either oblivious or passive-aggressive, because there is no reason I should not be getting my ass kicked right now. She gives me my salad and I turn up my nose and don’t say thank you.

ZEN ZEN ZEN NOW!:

Embracing the Way, you become embraced;
Breathing gently, you become newborn;
Clearing your mind, you become clear;
Nurturing your children, you become impartial;
Opening your heart, you become accepted;
Accepting the world, you embrace the Way.

Bearing and nurturing,
Creating but not owning,
Giving without demanding,
This is harmony.
